Very comprehensive, some parts are very interesting whereas others are hard to really understand. A very "academical" book - consequently a bit "dry". But for my personal research a big part of the content will become very useful.
This book provided strong background knowledge about learner language. I bought it after getting it from the library and realizing it was an essential resource to have for this topic (I wanted to annotate it too much to merely use a library copy).

This book is a required text for a course I am doing. It is not easy to read but necessary and not a book I would usually buy.
